How we work

Intelligence that moves. Experience that delivers.

Our services have been refined by decades of practice: our expertise lies not only in what we do, but in how we unlock what the market sees as an operational bottleneck.

Our strategic objectives

Our work is structural: we manage the operation from origin to final delivery at destination.

  1. Operational intelligence and efficiency

We develop high-performance solutions in customs release and logistics, focused on neutralizing bottlenecks and bringing maximum speed to every stage of the international flow.

  2. Full-cycle management (end-to-end)

Our work is structural: we manage the operation from origin to final delivery at destination. Our seniority allows rigorous control that goes beyond the act of customs release, ensuring full visibility of the supply chain.

  3. Document shielding and risk mitigation

We act predictively. We carry out an exhaustive technical analysis of documents even before shipment, including the draft BL abroad. Our expertise ensures absolute compliance, eliminating the risk of fines and retentions due to technical errors.

  4. Cost engineering and financial performance

Our focus is capital optimization. We apply our technical authority to minimize logistics and tax costs, maximizing our clients' return on investment through nationwide coverage and tax intelligence.

  5. “Door-to-door” planning and business governance

We offer meticulous business management, grounded in impeccable door-to-door planning. We simplify bureaucracy, turning complex procedures into safe and fluid processes.

  6. Legislative consulting and decision support

We keep our partners at the forefront of Foreign Trade. We monitor and report changes in legislation and cost fluctuations in real time, equipping your company with the market intelligence needed to remain globally competitive.

Step by step

The import process, from planning to customs release.

Under the New Import Process, the declaration becomes the Duimp, filed by the importer on the Portal Único Siscomex. The replacement of the former DI follows an official schedule defined by type of operation. See what happens at each stage and how Tepcomex acts.

Planning and pre-shipment analysis

What happens

Before executing an operation, you need to understand whether it is correctly structured. Prior analysis makes it possible to identify risks, inconsistencies, requirements and opportunities before the company makes commitments to suppliers, customers, carriers or regulatory bodies.

What Tepcomex does

  • Feasibility of the operation
  • Tariff classification · NCM / HS Code
  • Estimated taxes
  • Need for licenses, registrations and authorizations
  • Incoterms and commercial terms
  • Analysis of documents before shipment, including the draft BL abroad

Product Catalog and attributes

What happens

The Product Catalog is the Portal Único module where products and foreign operators are registered. In the Duimp, product information comes directly from the Catalog. Attributes are the information required for each NCM (Mercosur Common Nomenclature) code in the Catalog, the LPCO and the Duimp, and they replace the NVE, the destaques (NCM highlights) and the description fields.

What Tepcomex does

  • Product Catalog and attributes
  • Description and identification of goods
  • Tariff classification
  • Review of the information together with the client, who holds the technical knowledge of the goods

Licenses and regulatory agencies (LPCO)

What happens

LPCO stands for Licença, Permissão, Certificado ou Outro Documento (License, Permit, Certificate or Other Document). Depending on the product, its composition, purpose or origin, the operation may require agency approval from bodies such as Inmetro, Mapa and Anvisa.

What Tepcomex does

  • LPCO and administrative treatments
  • Operations subject to regulatory agencies
  • Approvals and technical reports with the competent agencies
  • Need for licenses, registrations and authorizations

Duimp registration

What happens

The Duimp is filed by the importer on the Portal Único. Until the migration is complete, clearance may be processed through a DI in Siscomex or through a Duimp, according to the DI phase-out schedule, published by type of operation. A DI registered for an operation that already requires a Duimp is canceled.

What Tepcomex does

  • DUIMP and other applicable declarations
  • Analysis of the Invoice, Packing List and bill of lading
  • Estimated import cost calculation
  • Tax and operational guidance

Channel selection and examination

What happens

The Receita Federal (Brazil's Federal Revenue Service) selects the examination channel through risk management: green, yellow, red or grey. In the Duimp, there is a single channel, corresponding to the stricter of the one assigned by the Receita Federal and the one assigned by the regulatory agencies.

What Tepcomex does

  • Monitoring of customs release
  • Handling of tax and regulatory requirements
  • Support in resolving requirements and pending issues
  • Consistent technical documentation and appropriate justifications

Customs release and beyond

What happens

Customs release is only granted after all examinations. Even after release, the operation may still be audited within the statutory limitation period, including under the procedure to combat customs fraud.

What Tepcomex does

  • Amendments and regularizations
  • Analysis of pending foreign exchange issues with the Banco Central
  • DTA customs transit to Londrina and Maringá
  • Full visibility of the supply chain
